The Vision.
To mark the beginning of a new decade, I have launched a project called ‘The Year of the Gentlemen’ which will celebrate successful young men from different fields and backgrounds with the hope of inspiring our younger generation to know that it is possible achieve their dreams.
What about the ladies?
I know, I know - is this project only for men? Absolutely not. While the interviews focus on young men this year, the website is completely open to everyone. Why? Because I know there are so many negative stories and narratives being filtered in day in and day out about our young men and while I believe it is important and necessary to address this, I also want to be a part of sharing their good.
I am also currently producing a full-length theatre production with an all female cast and as a woman, I find it is instinctive to me to consistently champion other women and so this year, it was on my heart to create something that focuses on young men but that can reach everyone.
My desire for this website is to create a space that shares upcoming opportunities, workshops, classes, talks, interviews and good news stories particularly through other platforms who are already existing, working and thriving! Why? Because I believe it's important for all people but especially young people to know who is in your corner and where to go to get started.
